Sports betting, online casinos and gaming are reshaping addiction … This is the up-to-date training you need to stay ahead
Sports-betting apps, online casinos, crypto, and games loaded with gambling mechanisms.
Today exposure to gambling triggers is constant, making what was once a niche issue for therapists unavoidable …
… as “a harmless hobby” spirals into debt, secrecy, shame, and relationship strain that has clients flooding today’s therapy rooms.
But here’s the thing – almost no grad program teaches Gambling Disorder.
And even if you feel confident treating SUDs, gambling addiction follows a different pathway – with unique risk factors, hidden warning signs, and treatment pitfalls you can’t afford to miss.
That’s why we teamed up with nationally recognized expert and deputy director of the Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling, Tana Russel.
She’s trained clinicians, policymakers, and even the gaming industry on gambling, gaming, and addiction.
Tana Russell will show you how to recognize when everyday gaming or betting crosses the line into problematic behavior – and what you need to know to respond.
From diagnostic criteria and comorbidities to screening tools and intervention, you’ll gain the insight and confidence to spot red flags, start the right conversations with clients, and intervene.
Gambling addiction is evolving fast –
Enroll today and learn what every therapist needs to know to meet this rising challenge head-on.
