Mental health professionals are responsible for managing heavy caseloads, maintaining clinical documentation, and so much more all while trying to consistently address conflict, adhere to administrative demands, and provide adequate supervision in support of the agency goals and mission.
With the juggling of these professional commitments, there are personal areas that run the risks of being ignored including areas involving self-care. Clinicians are skilled at assisting others to achieve better outcomes in their lives but may not prioritize this as an area for their own.
It is imperative that clinicians identify these areas on a consistent basis and keep them in view to ensure reduced risk of violating them.
But with the amount of responsibility, the risks can surface unknowingly if attention and guidance is not present.
So join Sharon J. Lawrence, LCSW-C, LCSW, ACSW, EAS-C, BC-TMH, who with 20 years’ experience as a clinician, will provide a clear and strength-based foundation for ethical standards regarding competence. During this workshop, you will also gain an understanding of ethics in the following areas:
Leave this interactive training with increased confidence and reassurance on how to manage oneself in the workplace and in the community!
