Description

  • Assessment tools adapted for diverse cultural expressions
  • Evidence-based interventions for individual, group, and family therapy
  • Strategies for navigating cross-cultural ethical dilemmas
  • Tools for examining your own biases

Grief doesn’t look the same for everyone.

The way your clients experience, express, and process loss is deeply shaped by their cultural background, spiritual beliefs, family traditions, and identity.

So good grief work needs to be culturally responsive.

But let’s be honest – most of us learned the “one size fits all” grief models that assume everyone grieves the same way.

That’s why you need this one-day training.

You’ll join Dr. Clara Dennis-Morgan, a grief specialist and chief clinical and wellness officer at Minority Behavioral Health Group. Dr. Dennis-Morgan focuses her practice on providing culturally specific treatment and teaching clinicians just like you how to do the same.

In just one day she’ll give you the essential tools and techniques you need to support grieving clients across diverse populations – with practical guidance grounded in evidence-based practice and real-world application. With step-by-step instruction on assessing grief through a cultural lens and adapting interventions for diverse populations, you’ll leave ready to meet every grieving client where they are.

Join Dr. Dennis-Morgan and walk away with:

  • Assessment tools adapted for diverse cultural expressions of grief
  • Evidence-based interventions you can modify for individual, group, and family therapy
  • Guidance on honoring cultural mourning practices and rituals ethically
  • Strategies for navigating cross-cultural ethical dilemmas
  • Tools for examining your own biases and building ongoing cultural competence

This is your opportunity to transform how you approach grief work – helping clients heal in ways that respect who they are, where they come from, and what matters most to them.
